scotland
two days ago, we took a train from london to stirling, scotland, where william wallace (braveheart) came from. The castle and wallace monument were pretty cool. we didn't get up to the highlands but the scenery was still very impressive. we took a train to edinburgh yesterday. this town is, by far, the coolest place i've ever visited. the castle sits way up on a hill in the heart of the city and all the streets are filled with old buildings and churches. we hiked up arthur's seat, the highest point in edinburgh, for some great views...pictures to be posted later. we are headed to amsterdam tomorrow to do what tourists do in amsterdam. probably going to berlin afterwards...not sure what after that. the lack of sleep and abundance of alcohol is beginning to take its toll...jeff crashed today at 5 pm. i've met mostly canadians and australians so far, and they tend to be the most friendly. only a couple people have shown anti-american sentiments, but they warm up after talking to us. someone told me that we were surprisingly cool for americans last night. time is running out on my internet, so i'll probably try to post something in a bit...most likely after the netherlands.

foggy londontown
got into london at 7 am UK time or 1 am central time. jeff, luke, and i met up and took it to the streets. we managed to see a good deal (westminster abbey, trafalgar square, river thames, etc...). jeff convinced the group to have a couple beers, so we will see how long we last tonight. we are hopping on a train to scotland tomorrow around 4, and will try to throw some pictures up en route.
